Question Nightly process for Compact and Repair

Hi out there - I have a nightly process that flushes and updates Access DB Tables based on demographic data from an EMR program. I would like to know if there is a function call or way to have it Compact & Repair the database automatically after the updates are made.

Yes it's possible. A google search should give you the right code. Or just set the DB properties to include a Compact on Close

If you are using Window Scheduled Tasks you can use '/compact' after setting the 'Run' option to open your database.

E.g.

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\Folder\dbname.mdb" /compact
