    Question Back end is broke

Sounds like you used table link manager last time you had this problem. Go to Tools > Database utilities > Linked table manager Make sure all linked tables have the correct path to the backend. You can check all and re link them if necessary.

    A table for football matches

The relationship should be back to tblteams pkTeamID again, if I understand the structure you are using. Are you having problems with a particular query?

    Format

Probably because you are working out the average from the [mark] field and you haven't specified the format afterwards. i.e. the average of 0.44,0.43,0.44 is 0.4366666666666 If you done Format(Avg([Mark]),"#,##0.00") it would do the 2 decimal places after working out the average.

    Problems using iif

It may not be the best way, but it's how I normally do it. If you manually add the paper types to the "IN" statement anyway, just add them all to a new table then create a new query. Then add both tables to the query and join the common fields ([Disb].A4BW with the new field in the new table)...

    Update Query

It may be better to have a motw table like: Week - ManagerID 1 -------52 2 -------21 3 -------20 4 -------21 5 -------3 which you would append to every week then you can do a count of each managerid within that table for your report. Might be a little better doing it this way, rather...

    Help with formating using VBA

Try using this at the end of your statement: & "*" instead of Format(txtLabel1, "*")

    Problems using iif

Not sure why it's erroring, but I would look towards the table structure to fix the issue and make it easier in the long run. I would maybe look at having a table for your parts in your [disb] field. Then you can join to this in your query and get rid of the "IN" clause. You can then add to...

Add units to a number field

No probs Bob. I didn't even realise you had posted. It took me 5 mins just to work out how to spell concatenate . I was spelling it so wrong that not even google helped me.

Add units to a number field

As far as I know not directly in the number field itself, but you can concatenate the number and the "m" in a query. For example in the query, instead of the number field have: numberfield2:[numberfield] & " m"

Validate table 1 to table 2

I agree. You seem to be fighting against something which you shouldn't really need to be. Another problem you have is if any of these fields are free text, one spelling mistake, a different letter case, or an extra space would mean the fields in the 2 tables are not identical. You might want...

Validate table 1 to table 2

What is unique? The "Week" field? or a combination of all 3 fields? How are you inserting the data, and what decides which table is used for the insert?

How to make an expression look into the appropriate value

If you decide to continue down the route you suggested, create a query in design view and join your "type" and "fruit" fields from each table. Then group by "type" on your query, and select sum for "qty" and "total price" (price * qty). This will give you: type - qty - total apple - 13 -...

BIOS POST Slow, Windows 7 Startup Hangs

See if you can turn on detailed POST in the BIOS. This should then give you a clue on what part of the POST it's hanging on. The most common slow POST issues that ive come accross over the years is due to a faulty USB port.

    access web page

Ive never used that function before, but seems more of a database location issue. Can the workers in the office use it ok? If so, is the database location on a mapped drive? You may need to check that the user with the issue has access to the database location. for example if the location is...
