    I believe you can put hyperlinks in Excel. Just make sure they're relative not absolute, eg like "pics\pic1.jpg" not "D:\pics\pic1.jpg"

    You need the Access Runtime. I think you need to buy a developer version of Access to get it. But then you are allowed to distribute the Runtime with your database.
