    Need parameter assistance AGAIN!

Again, I appreciate your insight about this query and I wanted to ask you for an explanation of the two "Or" statements. But more importantly, when I run the report with the parameters, I am unable to get all the data that I should relative to the table of data. Would you mind taking a look...

    Need parameter query assistance here!

Great Job, Bob! I really appreciate your persistence with this. The query works just fine AND there will be some Null fields due to the guys only Clocking In or Clocking Out, but not both. So, your solution will cover that. I would like to ask one more thing. As you could see, this is an Access...

    Need parameter query assistance here!

I agree with the 'bear' part. I'm running as shown and I'm still getting an error message. Here are the shots and the application. Thanks again.

    Need parameter query assistance here!

Bob- I agree with you about the employee name and ID, but this application is for three hourly guys and that's what it's relatively not complicated. However, I'm still getting the same error message after I input the parameters. Incidentally, your second parameter included "SelectEndTime." I...

    Need parameter query assistance here!

Bob, Please be patient with me now. I understand that the MyNewField is an additional column in the query (surely not in the table), but I get a parameter pop-up for the column (first jpg), then followed by the Start Date and End Date parameters. Then I get this error message (2nd jpg). What am...

    Need parameter query assistance here!

Bob, I understand the Between [Enter Start Date] And [Enter End Date] parameter, but I'm also getting a parameter for: MyNewField: DateValue([FieldWithDateTimeInIt]). Can you tell me what needs to be entered there or should this even appear? Thanks.

Bob, You may have to be real simple for me, but can you explain exactly where I put your suggestion in the query grid. Thanks so much for your help with this.

    Need parameter query assistance here!

I appreciate your insights thus far, however here's what I'm dealing with. I've had good fortune working with query parameters so I've enclosed a couple of views to illustrate. The first view shows a simple query where I would like to design the parameters for the "start date" and "end date"...

    Need parameter query assistance here!

I have built a very simple Clock In/Clock Out application for hourly employees which records the date and time (General Date format) that they arrive and leave. However, for a report of their time, I need to develop a parameter query that asks for just the beginning date and ending date for the...

    Concatenation

Forgive my ineptitude, but when I place [FieldName] & "00" in the Update To: field in the Update query grid and run it, absolutely nothing is happening

    Concatenation

How do you concatenate two zeros onto the end of a field, such as 345678 becoming 34567800. Thanks.

    Need a String Function

Dave's suggestion worked great! Let's hear it for simplicity! Thanks y'all.

Need to Add Zeros to Field

Thanks for the function, however, when I place xxx([fieldname]) in the Update To: field of an Update query, I get error message "Undefined function "xxx" in expression." What am I doing wrong?

Need to Add Zeros to Field

I’ve got a six-character text field with values like: 354, 7237, 10438, all values under six-characters long. I need to run an update query to place sufficient “zeros” in front of each value to make it a six-character value. There are 8398 records to change! Got an idea? Please lemme know. Thanks.
