Query to look day / month (and not year) then produce an average

As often happens, we think we know what we want then when a solution is provided we adjust our requirements :) The above solution works as expected, but having looked at the results, I would like to exclude the day/month that falls is the current year from the calculations.

Query to look day / month (and not year) then produce an average

Apologies if this isn't explained particularly well. I have a table containing dates in column A and a number in column B. What I would like to do is average the numbers in column B based on the day and month in column A and for it to show the latest full date range. So in the example below...

Unmatched in the last 30 days

Hi all, there may be a simple solution to this, but it isn't leaping out at me this morning. Two tables, customers and orders and I want to know who hasn't placed an order in the last 30 days.

    Advice on forms

The subform is exactly as it is prior to being moved into the navigation form. It still includes the text box control (named Text17) and the command button, but when using these, the following message is displayed. "The action or method is invalid because the form or report isn't bound to a...

    Advice on forms

Hi All, Still fairly new to Access but slowly learning. I have a form with a built in search function and would like to place this in a navigation form. The search works ok on the form, but when I add it to the navigation form it doesn't. The search is done by a macro on a command button...

Display additional text box if "Other" is selected from a combo box

Paul, thanks for bearing with me. I'm still new to Access. By bound, do you mean that the text box appears in the table which the form populates? If this is correct, then it is bound. I have managed to get it to clear the text when it goes to a new record but the text box is still visible (but...

Display additional text box if "Other" is selected from a combo box

Thanks for your response pbaldy, it took me some time but I finally worked out where to put this code and how to make the text box invisible to start with (I had to change the properties) I have a command button which adds the record to a table and then clears down the form ready for the next...

Display additional text box if "Other" is selected from a combo box

Hi, I think maybe the thread title will explain most of what I want to do. When the text "OTHER" is selected from a combo box I would like an additional text box to appear which can be used. If any other selection is made from the combo box, I would like the additional text box to remain hidden.

    Merging tables

Thanks for the responses. A full outer join it is then (although it doesn't exist) While I understand the basics of data normalization, the problem is where the data comes from in the first instance. I have no choice but to export duplicate records from this source. Having used the tips...

    Merging tables

Hi Guys (and Gals), First post so please hang on in there with me as I'm not too familiar with access terminology but I'm leaning! So here is my problem. I have two tables which have data in them which is trawled from source which doesn't have any data manipulation tools in it. I want to be...
