    Simple but not simple project...

ALL - Thanks for all the guidance. As I stated initially... I'm a relative newbie just trying to learn. I worked with a package called SMART about 3 decades ago. From what I remember it was relatively easy to work with forms and fields so I thought this would have a simple answer. I also had a...

I really wouldn't need to add fields. Currently there are 12 competitors in the table but at least 2 of them are Out of Business and their info could be replaced without adding additional fields and screwing up the queries. I understand now about the normalized.

    Simple but not simple project...

Pat, This is simply one piece of a larger project that I am working on. EDP # is a unique (to each manufacturer) item code for a specific technical product that we (and others) manufacture. I believe EDP was originally "Electronic Data Processing #". There are variations of each item based...

    Simple but not simple project...

Hi Pat, Table was already built originally as an Excel spreadsheet and imported. It actually lists Brand A EDP, Brand A List #, Brand B EDP, Brand B List #.... Currently there are 12 competitive companies in the table. Not sure what you mean by normalized. The data is clean. I simply want to...
