    Easy Question...I think??????

You Were right I made it an unbound form assuming that I needed to make it that way do an append Qry (vs. just data entry to the table). I changed it back and the option appeared. But, I realized that as you are entering data it keeps adding pages to the form...so I created a button with a...

    Easy Question...I think??????

I have completely forgotten how to create a form that will olny allow the user to add a new record into a table...and will not let them view or change any of the existing records. Kind of like a sign up form. Where they enter their info, hit enter and it stores in an existing table as a new...

    Last record or latest entry?

How would I pull a field from the last entry of several records to put into a report? The table will be updated 3x per week, so I'd always like to have the report reflect the most current data. I think I saw an expression on here before, but can't find it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Finding Invalid Phone Numbers Query?

Almost! O.K. I updated to 2000 and it seems to be working better, but it still doesn't give me phone numbers without area codes. My data was a little different than you had in your table. So, I changed it to resemble my data. Take a look. I believe the form used to enter the data...

    Finding Invalid Phone Numbers Query?

hmmm. That didn't work? I got a "Data Type Mismatch In Criteria Expression" error. Just to clarify all the records DO have the ( ) - in them, but some are weird like (XXX)XXX-X (like they didnt put the area code). And some are like this ( )XXX-XXXX where the area code was omitted and...

    Finding Invalid Phone Numbers Query?

O.K. Here's another one. I have a database that has phone numbers in the (XXX)XXX-XXXX format, but in the table properties it's not set up with an input mask or validation rule (Just limited to 13 characters). I believe the input form was set in the (XXX)XXX-XXXX fomat. Whickh explains why...

Field Length Qry (finding records with X amout of characters or more)

I created a new query in design mode. Showed the Cust Table and dragged the Name and ID fields into the botton area then in the criteria area for the NAME field I put If Len([CUST]![NAME])>=30 It says the expression contains invalid syntax? I figured that the "If" is not needed so I tried...

Field Length Qry (finding records with X amout of characters or more)

I'm doing a database merge, but the one of my merge fields from the old database was set longer than the new one. Does anyone know what criteria I could use in my old database to run a query that would find any records that have more than a certain amount of characters in a field so that I can...

    Simple Query Idiot User!!!

Nevermind I got it...I was just confused by the way it was worded. I do feel even more stupid now. That was too easy. I guess I was trying to make things a little more complicated than they needed to be. Thanks again Pat!

    Simple Query Idiot User!!!

Hmmm. O.K. I get the smaller queries idea, but I'm lost at query three. I understand joining them at the CUSTID, but as far as the criteria that's where I get lost do I use the query builder? What would be the commands that mean that I want rows from Query 1 excluding any CUSTIDs that match...

    Simple Query Idiot User!!!

You guys are probably gonna laugh me out of this forum, but I need help! I haven't used Access in over 5 years and I used to think I was pretty savy, but no more. Anyway, here's the scenario. I have a CUST table and an INVENTORY table They both contain CUSTID fields. The CUSTID in the CUST...
