Brilliant! Which action would I choose for the button to pass the information from the boxes to the query?

I am trying to build a query that will prompt the user to enter a department name as well as a sub department name. We have been able to accomplish this, but would now like all sub departments listed if the sub department parameter is not entered. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to include a count function in a report footer. I would like to count the number of "Yes" answers in a column of Yes/No check boxes. Even when I query the information I end up with counting the number of records instead of counting the Yes answers. Any suggestions?
