Brilliant! Which action would I choose for the button to pass the information from the boxes to the query?

    Query Madness

I am trying to build a query that will prompt the user to enter a department name as well as a sub department name. We have been able to accomplish this, but would now like all sub departments listed if the sub department parameter is not entered. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    New Query, Old User

I have just been asked to submit a report for which I will have to use a database that I have not worked with in over a year. My skills are very rusty. I need to query a list of policies that underwent revision during the time I was working with them. The Table has a policy # field, and five...

    Trouble with form

I have been using a database designed to track grievances at a health care facility. The db consists of, amongst others, a table containing resident records, a table containing staff records, and a table with grievance records. I have created a grienvance record form with combo boxes for staff...

    Chart Problem

I've created a chart in form view. It seems there is a default setting to list the data selected for the chart in ascending order. In datasheet view, I manually rearranged the order of the data to my preference, but they are returned to ascending order when the form is closed and reopened...

Trouble querrying information for a report

Thank you again for your reply. I am not familiar with VBA codes. As for rewriting the database, I'm willing to do whatever I need to in order to make it practical. I'm not sure how long I will be using it, so I want to make it as sensible and user friendly as possible for the next user...

Trouble querrying information for a report

Thank you for your reply Patrick. I'm not sure. My table consists of the following: Primary key Survey year Level of Care (Survey of health care facility) Question 1 Question 2 and so on through question 11. Would I [Please Enter a Question Number] as the criteria under each question number?

Trouble querrying information for a report

Last year I created a database to store results from an annual satisfaction survey. As is my usual m.o. when pinched for time, I didn't put much forthought into it as chances were good it was a one time assignment. The survey came and went and was forgotten. Now, a year later, I'm inputing...

    Promted for Parameter Value

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try and let you know how it comes out. Let me know if you're ever in the area and would like a tour of the facility. Great place. Thanks again.

    Promted for Parameter Value

Thanks for your reply Jack. And so close too. I work up at the Veterans Home here in Yountville. I assist resident's in resolving grievances with the Home. I created this database a few years ago with little knowledge and less forethought. I was forced to improve upon it a few months ago in...

    Promted for Parameter Value

I am promted for a parameter value when I click on the + sign to view the sub datasheet. I recently changed the primary key from a poorly thought out combination of characters to the person's full name. The table is linked to grievance records. If I enter the primary key when promted for the...

    Report Footer Count Function

I am trying to include a count function in a report footer. I would like to count the number of "Yes" answers in a column of Yes/No check boxes. Even when I query the information I end up with counting the number of records instead of counting the Yes answers. Any suggestions?
