A 2013 query / form

A 2013. I am working with a split form for the first time. The forms source is an Alpha query. Opening the query it is sorted, state then city. When the form loads it is sorted by city with states scattered. Anybody have a clue?

Hi Pat,
I was wondering if split forms acted different, as all my other forms obey the query. I will check what you recommended.
