That is actually advice I got when I took a course in public speaking a long time ago. Long enough ago that the word "content" was not in common usage in regards to computers yet. But we DID have computers. We even had these (at the time) newfangled things called web pages. But my purpose for the course was that I was preparing to be an instructor for our customers who bought the product. Since I was one of the designers thereof, creativity wasn't at issue - but confidence in speaking needed a little help. Which I got, by the way.
