Question Access 2002+barcode is not printing on New PC

Hello,

The programmer who designed this database is no longer working here.We don't have any issues before.We migrated to new PC's.So the database is working working fine except barcode.It is printing some weird characters like FF%F%$ something like that instead of barcode.

I really need help to fix this.We have another asp.net application with barcode programming.It is printing the barcode perfectly on new PC's too.So my guess is something wrong with the access database.
Do you have any idea's?

Please guide me.

Have you checked to make sure that there isn't some special font that is needed?

We use barcodes where I work, and if the system doesn't have certain fonts installed, it mearly prints out the number.

Thanks for ur reply...I am not familiar with fonts...could u please tell me how can i find the font type and how to install it? I will give a try...thanks..

You would need to go into design view of the report that is printing the barcode. Go into properties and check the Font Name for the field that has the barcode in it. Then go into Control Panel --> Fonts and see if that font in there. If not, you will have to get the font and install it.

To install a font, from the Fonts window in the control panel, select from the menu bar File --> Install New Font. Follow the prompts from there.

Yeah..Scott...One more question...How do i find out what coding are we using like Code-39 or UPC something like that.Because we bought the new scanners and it is not working properly on this database but it is working for asp.net application(uses code-39).Let me know how can i find out in MS-access...thanks for ur help scott...

Hmmm....I honestly dont know. I would suggest that you contact the manufacturer of the scanner and ask them about it. I'm sure they would know the answer to that question.
