Hi,
First off, let me thank you all for your patience in advance.
I would REALLY appreciate any help I could get with this problem. Let me lay out the details.
I DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT know the first thing about programming for ms access. I am an absolute novice, no exaggeration at all.
Being adventurous, and trudging through books and wizards and forums like this, I managed to build two small Access 2003 db's for my employer to help us keep track of scheduling clients.
I've split the database, and we placed it on a networked hard-drive with the intent of sharing the db with 5 other co-workers. This shared database works just fine with co-workers running A2003. However, two co-workers have A2007. When I try to share the DB with them (setting up the front-end, linking the tables, etc), it allows them to open it (at least seeing the first record). After that it won't let them navigate, let alone edit or add anything to the db. There is a message at the bottom stating too bad, so sad, it's in read-only mode
Converting the db to A2007 is not a possibility, since some of us must still interact with the db through 2003. We made the db "trusted" through the security settings...that only got us as far as being able to view the forms (which it previously wouldn't let us).
Searching the internet and forums like this has resulted in either no indication of problems like this, or people who would never even try 2003 on 2007.
I'm stuck! I've spent a lot of time on this db, no doubt because I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm really proud of what I was able to build, and I think I'll keel over if we can't get this to work. Does anyone out there have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks so much!!!!!
