Hi all,

anyone know if acc2003 runs ok on Vista. I have been having problems running some acc2003 freebie software on my vista laptop.

Any comments gratefully accepted.

Regards

I find it OK and all works. Although a few things are extremely slow as compared to the same on XP.

I had a couple of other bugs that related to Access opening Word and I made a couple of changes and all was well.

Thanks for your response

Kind Regards

Get more RAM you need at least 1GB.

Avoid Access SP3.

Is that true after installing Vista SP1? I didn't notice any ill effects, especially after installing the Windows Vista service pack.

Bob.

It actually made me go straight to Access 2007. Which I'm very happy about. Now all we need is Windows 7. Thanks for your link. Damn shame that the beta version has no upgrade path. So it's a little premature to mourn over the death of Vista.

All I have ever done with Vista Bob is the standard updates.

One example I have that is very slow is Stephen Lebans Report/PDF converter. I have made that so it will do all reports in the DB in one go. I have a continuous form that opens and each record is the Report name. XP will just go straight down the records, perhaps a couple of seconds a record but Vista might be 20 seconds a record. There are a couple of others that escape my mind at the moment.
