Access 2007- Import error from excel

I'm trying to import from an excel spreadsheet into an existing table in access 2007. I keep getting an error "subscript out of range". I've verified that all the fields in the excel document are named and defined the same as the access table, but I'm still getting the error. I can't find anything in help to describe the reason for this error. Any ideas?

Nevermind, I had a field defined as double and wasn't EXACTLY the same as the field coming from excel. Once I imported into a new table and compared the attributes, I saw the difference and that allowed me to import the data.

Hi Pam,
I am having a terrible time importing from Excel into Access 2007. I keep getting the same "subscript" error message. What did you mean you "had a field defined as double" and how did you compare the attributes after importing to a new table?
