Hello,
I am trying to configure an easy way for my clients to access attachments in an Access 2007 database. The idea is that they can attach XLS, DOC, and JPEG files all to a record in a database. I saw that this is a relatively new feature in Access and thought I'd give it a shot.
The only problem is the file size of the Access database. With camera file sizes getting larger in size (5+ MP), the 2 Gig limit on an Access DB will fill up very quickly.
I am aware that the user could shrink the photos in size before submitting them into a database, however, the users of this particular database want to keep this DB as simple as possible (image editors would be a hassle for them).
SO!
Can anyone tell me (based on their expert knowledge of Access 2007 'attachments) if there will be an easy way to export this database with the attachment field into a SQL Server 2005 database? Again, I would prefer to use this new feature instead of linking OLE objects using Modules?
Any suggestions are MOST appreciated!
Mike
