I work for county-level soil and water conservation district in upstate NY, USA. Over the last 2 yrs have created one db to hold farm information, track pollution control practices installed on farms and the grant funding that supports their installation. Although not terribly sophisticated, this db format has proved useful towards satisfying regulations to reduce pollution into Chesapeake Bay.
Have taken two on-line Access 2007 courses through SUNY-Delhi (our local college) and now mostly use V. Anderson's helpful reference book. I like working outside in the field mostly, but somebody had to improve on our old system of Excel files and create an actual database. Currently trying to learn more macros, stumbling over the sub-form aspect.
