I installed Office Enterprise 2007. Then I installed DEveloper Exrtensions, then Access Runtime 2007. All appear to have installed OK - they appear in Program and Features.
Instructions on runtime packaging tell me that a Developer option should appear in the resulting drop-down when I click the Office button (top-left round thing) when I have a d/b open in Access. It's not there! I have un-installed and re-installed the extensions and the runtime - still nothing!
Help!
I do have Runtime 2002 (XP) on the same PC, is that relevant?

The developer option is under ACCESS OPTIONS and then it is in the list.

At the risk of appearging terminally stooooooopid, I can't see it when I have clicked the Office button and the Access Options...

No that's okay, I think it's me who should be feeling stupid. I was going off of thinking I knew where it was and I just opened up my Access 2007 (I didn't before because I had 2003 open and it takes quite a long time for 2007 to open when I have had another version open) and looked and I'm not sure where it is. I thought I had remembered seeing it, but apparently my brain cells are on vacation, or something.

I assume you'll get back when your brain cells return, relaxed and tanned...

It appears that you have installed the runtime additions into the same folders as the Office Enterprise Addition. Runtime addition will override the files for Access, thus you are now running the runtime version. Developer Extension will not work with the runtime version.

Hi,

Hope you don't mind me waking up this old Post, but I am having a hard time finding an answer to what appears to be an identical issue for me..

I have Access 2007 on W7 Pro, I downloaded the Run time, and installed it etc etc.. I don't see the Developer Option, and I don't see the Addin listed in addins, I tried the link from AccessJunkie... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937998/en-us

but no luck because it assumes the adin is there. I reinstalled it and rebooted.... still no luck.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Ziggy

Well, it would probably help if you installed the Developer Extensions and NOT the runtime. You don't install the runtime yourself. You install the Developer Extensions which allow you to package the runtime with your application.

Thanks for setting me straight, I just assumed it was all inclusive in the package.
