Hi
I bought MS Office 2000 Developer Edition many years ago and I've been deploying MS Access 2000 business applications successfully with Access Runtime 2000 using the Package & Deployment Wizard.
I've now upgraded to MS Office 2007 including of course Access 2007 and downloaded the Access 2007 Runtime (which is now free
). I'm now testing that I can still package and deploy successfully but am finding that the older Access Runtime 2000 is still being deployed! This raises the following questions to which I don't have the answers:-
1) Should I remove the Microsoft Office 2000 Developer Tools which are still there from the original installation of MS Office 2000 Developer Edition? i.e. the recent upgrade appears to have left them in place ...
2) Will that remove all traces of Access Runtime 2000?
3) Will that also remove the package and deployment wizard
4) Whereabouts is Access Runtime 2007 installed/located and can I easily attach it to my deployment?
5) Should the P&D Wizard look different in 2007 to 2000 or does this too need removal and the newer version located?
Best regards
Paul
