Got an issue that has me stumped...
I have two versions of Access on my machine: 2010 and 2013. I need to retain Access 2010 as we have a number of Access Projects (adp) that we built and maintain for customers (don't blame me - wasn't my idea!). As you know Access 2013 no longer supports these.
Anyway, I have a problem in that when I copy the adp over to a customer's terminal server (only running Access 2010), relink to their test system, and attempt to create a compiled version (ade), I get an error about a missing or broken reference to MSO.dll version 2.7. I've checked the references and there are none that have "MISSING" next to them and I don't have one checked that related to MSO.dll. To resolve the issue I have to decompile the database and then recompile it. Once I've done this the ade is created no problem.
I have a hunch that this problem is down to something strange I discovered when using Access 2010 on my machine. When I go into references, the Microsoft Access Object Library it references is 15.0. I would have expected it to be 14.0, being 2010.
I have run Access 2003 and Access 2007 on the same machine without an issue so wouldn't have expected there to be an issue with this. Anyway...
1. Is it likely to be the cause of my issue?
2. Do you know how I could get it back to looking at 14.0? I've tried unticking the reference to Microsoft Access 15.0 Object Library but it won't let me and I can't add the 14.0 Object Library reference (even though I can find it on the machine), when I try it just does nothing.
Thanks in advance.
