Good day everyone -

I opened a dev FE today to tweak it, attempting to implement @isladogs Form Resize code. Then I decided to change to overlapping windows...but the Options button/menu was gone!

I opened another file and it has the Options available.

Any idea what the heck is going on?

Thanks,
Mike

As a starter, when things like that happen, I usually try the age old, "Turn it Off. Turn It Back On" approach. Or in this case "Close Access. Reopen Access. Reopen the accdb." If that doesn't work, post back with additional details about the accdb in question (accdb or accde, etc.)

My form resizing code works with both tabbed documents & overlapping windows.
It has no effect on File..Options menu

Its unclear to me what exactly you did. Please clarify.

The Options menu is removed for a number of reasons e.g. runtime, .ACCDR file or other security measures as detailed in my article:

No, it has nothing to do with the resize code. I tagged you to really say thanks for letting us use the code you and others have provided.

And restarting Access accdb file does not 'fix' it.

However, I did the shift-enter and voila! Think I know what happened now, lol.

Nope... after going through the options nothing stood out that indicated why I would need to use the special keys to open file.

Ah. Sorry but that wasn't at all clear from post #1

Try opening it using the shift bypass in order to get to Access Options.
You may need to do this TWICE to regain full functionality

If that fails, then you'll probably need to post the database for someone to look at it.
