I use Access 97 on Windows NT 4.0 platform at work and I use Access 97 on Windows 98 platform at home. VBA Development at home and work have had no problems. Both ways it works fine.

My question is that if I upgrade my system at home to Windows XP platform and use Access 97 will there be any compatibility issuses with Access 97 on Windows NT 4.0 platform ?

Appreciate any comments.

For what it's worth, I have three machines available, one for development and two for testing. I do my development on a Win2000 machine using Access 2000. I convert backwards to Access 97 and test on three machines that run Access 97: Win 2000, Win 98, and Win 95. I have never seen a compatibility problem among the 3 Access 97 hosts.

As I say - for what it's worth. I'd be pretty comfortable with your proposed upgrade. There may be new functions available in WinXP, but if your Access 97 app is pretty vanilla you shouldn't have a problem.

Appreciate your comments. I am going to go through with the upgrade. Will keep posted if I encounter any issues. Thanks again
