Access 97 Menu Macros wont work in 2k

I have just imported some maros into Access 2000 from 97.
The macros basically establish the menus with the form being displayed.
However these macros are holting (i.e not working). I am not quite sure what this means but the message says:
'A menu bar can only be run if the menu bar macro name is the setting used by particular properties or options'.
I understand that the custom menu is not workign, its just I cannot figure out why??
Any suggestions where to start? the macros seem to be all ok.

I don't know it this will help but I couldn't get my macros and code to work in 2002 from 97 till I downloaded two critical updates from the microsoft website.
