We are converting from Office 97 to Office 2000.

I'd like to get a feel for people's opinions/experiences with upgrading and what problems you've noticed with "converting" databases from Access 97 to 2000 to get a feel for possible bumps in the road. (right now we are keeping Access 97 until we can test the databases with 2000/everyone has 2000).

Any opinons/grumbling/war stories appreciated.

references are the bigest deal (ADO is 2K's Default while DAO was 97's)

Next look at turning off the AutoCorrect (While it is nice, 2K still seems to be slowed down by it)

Converting

I converted from 97 to 2000 with very few problems. Most of the problems I had were in the way of report formats. It would keep messing up the way my reports would look and print...margins, text placement etc. I turned off the autocorrect and that helped sometimes but not all the time. I did have to go and reformat many of the reports.

Good Luck!

Cheryl

If you search the Microsoft knowledgebase, you should find conversion FAQ's.

Thanks for the info guys.
Pat - I've looked there; I was looking here for more along the lines of "experiences from the battle field" :)
