I am using Windows Vista and Access 2003.
I have recently been given help via this forum and I was directed to the "Microsoft Tip for Serious Users" (I'm serious but useless it seems!) called "Return to the same record next time form is opened" provided by Allen Browne
I am very new to this type of code and so I laboriously and diligently typed in the code given in the table and, after a few attempts at debugging I thought that all was OK.
Now when I try to open the form in Design View Access crashes and I am advised to update. After using Windows Update I am offered no updates whatsoever.
The database loads correctly and I can use all other tables/queries/forms/reports in design View and normally. I can still use the errant form in normal view.
As i cannot get into design View i cannot see any way of correcting the problem that seems to have been caused by the new code.
Any ideas?
(I have already had several suggestions of ditching Vista and returning to XP.)
