Hi Folks,

i have had a problem occur with an access program on my computer at home. I maybe do not have enough details in this email to troubleshoot the problem however i am not really sure what details i need to be looking at. Here we go anyway..

On one computer i had a piece of access software which runs through access 2000 runtime. Up until recently this program has worked perfectly with no errors. Recently I have removed other programs via add/remove programs and ran relevant anti-virus software but nothing that i can think of that would affect the running of this software. Lately though everytime i try to run the program i seem to get various errors. I have tried uninstalling the software and access 2000 runtime but no change.

However (the thing thats annoying me) on another machine where i have installed the software in exactly the same manner everything works as expected! In both instances i have tried clean installs completely from scratch but only works on my second machine.

This makes me think there must be a problem with my machine but being a novice with access i have no idea what sort of thing to look for.

I have also noticed that when i try to run disk cleanup, it will not complete and error associated with memory refernce occurs. I realise this might be a completely different problem but thought i would mention it.

Thanks
Big A

Hi

Sounds problems with your system files.

Not sure what version of operating system you have but maybe try at a command prompt;

sfc.exe /scannow

It will require you to have your operating CD.

Good Luck
