Hi there,

I recently used the access security wizard to setup user accounts etc.. and now I want to reset and go back to opening all databases without having to use a username & password.

I cant seem to find out how to do this!!

Can anyone help?? :)

Create a blank database with a different name using the default workgroup rather than the secured one.

Now rejoin the secured database. Export everything from the secured database to the unsecured copy. This includes relationships, which can be exported just like any other object. (Relationships are actually just part of a hidden system table, so copy the table, copy the relationships.)

That's the short answer. Study up on the Help files on exporting tables, etc. from a database. The key is to export from the secured DB to the unsecured DB. You would have a devil of a time doing it the other way around.

Thanks Doc Man, I will try this!

Dam security I wish I never did it now! :)

I could make a misogynistic comment about Access Security being like a woman - can't live with it, can't live without it, can't understand it - but of course I'm not really like that...
