I have a project in which i have to make a database. Its nothing real complex it has to have 3 tables.

heres my idea

An address book database.... "I know how orignal lol"

anyways here is what i have.... Looking to get my primary keys and forign keys established

tblAddress
AddressID "Pri Key"
First
Last
Address
City
State
Postal Code

tblContact
Email
HomePhone
CellPhone
DateLastTalked
DateUpdated

tblPersonal
Nickname
Birthday
College "Yes or No"
If Yes Where
Hobbies

So I need to get 3 FK keys and 2 more primary keys... This isnt jumping out at me as to what i should use

If anyone can help that would b great

Thank You

tblcontact
Add an autonumber field (contactID)
Add a field FkaddressID,link this field to tbladdress.addressid

tblpersonal
Add an autonumber field (personalID)
Add a field fkContactID,link this field to tblcontact.contactid

( to link tables use the relationships icon on the tool bar add the 3 tables and place links between
tbladdress.addressid and tblcontact.fkaddressID
tblcontact.contactID and tblpersonal.fkcontactID )

Thank You Very Much

I would do something a little different

Not to knock the previous reply or your own design, but I think I would approach this a little different

tblContact
pkcontactID (autonumber)
firstname
lastname
nickname

tblAddresss
pkaddressID (autonumber)
fkcontactID
address
city
state
zip...

tblPhone
pkphoneID (autonumber)
fkcontactID
type - could be cell, landline, fax etc...
phNumber

tlbCommunication
pkcommunicationID (autonubmer)
fkcontactID
commDate
notes

And the list goes on depending on the data you want to keep. This allows one contact to have multiple addresses (mailing, living, work etc), multiple phone numbers (phone, fax, cell etc), and multiple communications.

Hope this helps.
