I have a requirement for exporting one of the Access 2000 password protected mdb table data into a csv or tab delimited file on a daily basis .
Please let me know what is the best way to do it ..

Also

1. Will macro help in extracting data for a particular date in table(daily basis)
2.Can macro helps in extracting data for this password protected mdb.
3.Any other way .vbs or something ?
4.Some examples if possible..

Hi,

I'm assuming you have access to the database window and therefore have all the abilities of the administrator for the DB to create, change objects as required.

I have a regulary daily exporting process that does the following:

I have created a table with the required fields identified from my source table [for the purpose of this explanation I'll call it tblExport].

I then have an append query that identifies by date [the current date], which appends the required data from my source table [tblSource] to my export table [tblExport]

I have a macro that runs the append query and exports the data into a text file in my desired format.

The macro is assigned to a button within my database, which gets clicked each day manually and the data is exported as required.

The Actions column and the Actions Arguments in the marco is where you set this up.

I hope this is of assistance
