Access97 Tools|Startup dialog - ignoring my changes

Hello,

I have an Access frontend mdb (on a share) that I must access and make changes to. I have permission to change modules, table properties, etc. but something weird happens when I go to change the settings in Tools|Startup - it COMPLETELY IGNORES my changes after I click ok! No warning message, no nothing... it just ignores my changes altogether. I've tried using Tools|Startup on other mdbs in Access97 and it works fine, applying the changes right after I click OK. How could this be happening?

I had this happen to me a while back on a database that had become corrupt. Repairing didn't fix my woe. I created a new database and imported all of my objects from the corrupted database, ran a repair, compact, then set my startup options.

Thanks for the tip, charity, I never thought of that. I will try it. Will this require me to re-implement all the original mdb's settings (e.g., security?)
