Just had my machine rebuilt by our IT dept and using Access 97 I can now no longer insert the MS Date and Time Picker Control v 6.0. I get the "You don't have the license required etc etc message" I can use the control to select dates OK on previously built databases but can't insert any new ones. Have tried unregistering and re-registering the OCX files and have checked the refences list - all seems OK. Any clues please because our IT service desk don't have any!

I suspect there's something missing from the re-installation?

Many Thanks

I suspect that you are correct that there is something missing in your new installation. I think (!) that only some version of M$ apps include the licenses that allow you to actually deploy ActiveX components. For example anyone with Office 97 can use a form that includes an M$ ActiveX Control. But in order for you to be able to put it on the control in the first place, you need a licence. Licenses come with Develper Edition but not with Pro or Standard. You must have gotten a licence from a different version of Access or from a different App.
I have only Pro, so I get my licenses by installing VB...
