Hi I wonder if anyone can help me please?

I have a form linked to a table, and I have added an attachment field to the table and I would like to include it in the form.

I go into layout or design view and click on add existing fields, and I can see the attachment field (with 3 extra rows of data) I have selected all 4 and double clicked, and they are not adding to my form, if I put a attachment field in (the paperclip) I have no idea how to link it to the attachment field in my table.

I have searched through my user guides and tried various things I have found online, but I just can't get it to work.

I want to be able to attach scanned documents to the records.

Thank you

Clair

You should be able to double click it to add it to the form but try dragging the field to the form and see if that works. If that doesn't work see if Access adds it when you create a form with the table selected, i,e., select the table and click Form in the Forms section of the CREATE tab. If it gets added to that form then maybe the form you can't add it to is corrupt. Try compact and repair.

If you can't resolve this if you upload your database I'll look at it and try to figure this out.

I created another form and I could add the attachments field fine, so I have fixed the main form and compact and repaired and now it works and happily attached.
Thank you
Clair
