I found the follwing in another post and was wondering if anyone could expand on this. What would the code be for the buttons to select Edit or Add on the form? My form opens in Add mode but I'd like the user to have the option of toggeling to Edit or Add.

In your menu or switchboard you can have a button that will open the form in question in Data Entry mode or another button to open it in Edit mode. Or you can put buttons on the form to let the user Edit or Add a new record. I think it is what will work best in your specific situation. Let your user tell you what will work best for them and then implement that solution.

These commands will allow you define what they can or can not do based on the True or False argument.

Me.AllowAdditions = True
Me.AllowDeletions = True
Me.AllowEdits = True

Check out the AllowAdditions Property in Access help for some more examples and options on how to control what your users can do. Use the forms OnOpen event when using these type of commands.
