adding 2 fields to give the default of 3rd field

Hi people,

May I know how to add 2 fields.

i.e
My table has 3 columns

Field1 Field2 Field3

The value of field3 = field2 + field1 (the formate of field1, field2 n field3 are currency)

how do I indicate that the value of field3 is depended on the value of field2 n field1

is it under the default value of field3(in the TABLE design view)that i indicate field2 + field1?

I hope i can help
in the after update on field 2 (presuming that field 1 will be entered first) then field 2 after update properties in code
field3 = field1+field2 then format all 3 fields to currency

also if this is always the case i would check the enable properities (field3) on your form to no so that some muppet doesn't override what the value of field1+field2 are , however if their are circumstances where this might happen i would take field 3 off the tab order and leave it enabled so if they need to override this they can , but it would be for them to use their mouse to get to this field on the form rather than tabbing through - hope this helps
