Adding a email address on form

I've added my email address in a text box on my form, for users to contact me if they require any assistance... but when i run the form and click on the email address, i get the following error message

Unable to open email.address@hotmail.com. Cannot open the specified file.

I've added the address in the HyperLink Address property
