adding together numbers from a sub form with varying number of values

hi there

ok thats not a very clear topic title so ill try to be as clear as possible here

I'm having trouble with a form i made for a school project, its the last thing i have to do but it isnt working.

i have made a form which is for bookings and a subform within that that shows all the hires for the booking. in this subform it has the cost per day of each item that has been hired. however for each hire there is a different number of items hired. so for booking 1 it has 2 items hired, for booking 3 it has 4 itmes hired etc.

i need to add all the values from each booking together but i cant work out how to do it. could someone please point me in the right direction?

Write a summary query that will group on Booking and summarize ItemsHired.
