Adding up time

I am trying to create a form that will be act just like a time card. The problem i am coming up with is that I have a total hours worked field that adds up all of the in/out times in the form, but some times there is no time to input in some of the in/out times(some people work part time, so the dont have a lunch). The total hours field wont calculate unless there is something in each in/out field. How can I fix this?

i think the problem you've got relates to zero values to overcome this check out nz in help
