Adv Mail Merge

I dont know if this is possible, but i need to build a query (probably more than one) for a mail merge doc in Word. My word document a basic contract. In the contract there needs to be a merge field for multiple names, ie. firstperson, second person, etc. Depending on each contract some will have 1 name and others will have 2 or 3 names. The way the db was build, the query is generating a record for each name on one contract, so what is happening inthe Mail Merge Contract document is a separate contract with each persons name. I need the one contract with all 2 or 3 names on one line separated by commas. Is this possible?
