Allow multiple users to connect to DB (1 Viewer)

I have a company wide Access database that many people need to update with information. However, whenever I have the database open, no one else can connect to it (whether through data access pages or the actual database). I am new to Access so maybe there is no way around this. If there is any fix, please let me know. Thanx.

Make sure you are not opening the db 'Exclusive'.

From the Help file:

To open the database with exclusive (exclusive: A type of access to data in a database shared over a network. When you open a database in exclusive mode, you prevent others from opening the database.) access, click the arrow next to the Open button, and then click Open Exclusive.

Connection or locking problem?
I beleive you your network people should create 1 group of users with the same rights to database.

A couple of reasons could cause this. However, the most common ones have to do with incorrect workgroup setup.

I strongly suggest you search this forum for articles on workgroup security.
