Always on top forms

Is it possible to have a form in access which is always visible - say on the left of the screen - then if a button is pressed alternate forms appear on the left?!

I realise I could create one tabbed form with a menu on the left and sub-forms on the right but I wondered if there was another way which is "smart" looking?
