Hey,
Looking forward to giving and takign from this forum.
I learnt to develope in Access in 1997 using Access 2 and subsequently Acc97.
Then unfortunately had to leave the workplace in 2003 due to illness.
Since that time Hardware and software has advanced dramtically, and i am looking to retune my skillset and get it up and running again.
I returned to employment in 2012, working in food manufacturing company, as a commercial administrator... My role has so much complexity and long winded ways of doing (almost every process).
I have made significant enhancements to the spreadsheet which is used on a daily basis, and logs a ridiculuous level of information, that would suit a database so much better ! but the company dont' want Access Databases in the system as they are so hard to support.
My workaround is to make the spreadsheet as efficient as possible, and then to take the really labour intensive reptitive tasks and automate them in access (at the end of each month).
This will mean that the process can still be performed (the long-winded manual way) in excel, (if it ever falls over) but whilst i maintain a position it can be slcik and sleek !
Look forward to chatting with you
Best Wishes
