Hi! I've had a quick look through the existing threads and I think the problem I have is ever so slightly different....

I've got a macro that runs a load of code and queries to update my database every month. It worked fine last month, but now when I come to run it I get error 2950, which I believe is something to do with the trust center settings.

Now, I've not had to mess about with this up until now as everything seemed to work OK. The macro pops the error up on a runcode line, so I put the folder (and its subfolders) in the trusted locations in the trust center. Still doesn't work.... If I run the code from the VBA window myself it runs OK, and if I take the runcode line out of the macro, all the other queries work no probs. Any ideas?

I had a look in the registry as per accessjunkie's FAQ, but there isn't an Access folder where he/she says it should be ([HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Access\Security\Trusted Locations\Location0]) - I have "Common" under 12.0 and nothing else.... but why would this have changed (if that's the problem)? Beats me!

I'm running W7 Enterprise and Office 07.

Update: I've just added the key(s) from Accessjunkie's FAQ, let's see if that solves it. Curious to know why it's changed all of a sudden though.....

Cheers VBA I'll have a butcher's at them now!

Aye, tried all that and it's still not working. I think it might have been the missing registry key, as soon as this code is finished running I'll reboot and see what occurs.

Hmmm strange.... after rebooting, no difference, and currentproject.istrusted comes back as 'true'. Grrr! I think this DB might be corrupted, compact and repair doesn't do anything to help though - will try importing everything into a new DB and report back.

What do you get when you do this:

?CurrentProject.IsTrusted

in the Immediate Window?

It comes up False. Didn't know you could ? stuff in there... every day's a school day

The possibilities are endless :)

Are you trying to set a networked or mapped location as Trusted?

Try setting a folder on your desktop as trusted and put your db in there.

Hey I'm not complaining, it keeps me busy... the DB is on an external hard drive. Strange that it was fine last month and now suddenly not.... if I find anything out I'll let you know!

I would be wary setting an external drive as Trusted. Maybe that's the problem. Still try what was suggested in my last post. If it works then you know where the problem lies.

By the way, you're not setting the root drive E:/ (for example) as the Trusted location are you?

Nah it doesn't let you, it's a folder, and I also checked trust subfolders. I'll copy it over and see if that makes a diffrerence.

Cheers for your help over the last couple of days!
