Anyone with a minute to Troubleshoot my database?

Hi Everyone,

I've got a database that all I'm trying to do is on one form I have a users record on the screen I double click a button and I want it to open up a different form, start a new record, and copy the users name from the first form to the new form. Sounds simple but I can't get it to work. I thought if someone wanted to take a look at it for me I'd email it to them with a little bit more specific info. The database is in Access '97. If anyone is interested let me know.
