I'm trying to get to know the workings of the QODBC driver. I've been working on an Access DB on and off now for a while with intentions on connecting it to our QuickBooks data when finished. I downloaded the trial, set everything up and can connect to QuickBooks, but accessing the data is EXTREMELY slow! I tried to open the Invoice table an hour and twenty four minutes ago, and it still isn't even completely open. There are a bunch of small "driver status" windows pinned to the right of my screen. Has anyone worked with this driver before and know the workings of it and maybe give me some tips or tricks on how to speed it up.
I did do searches about the driver and troubleshooting, and followed some of them, which one was just to not open the tables directly, or not to select the entire table in a query, BUT more than one of my situations require to select all records in a particular table. Is this slow speed right?
Also, I remember playing around with this driver back in August, and speed was not an issue back then. I did however have to format and reinstall windows on this computer since then, which is how I have a second trial version working, but all settings on this PC should be roughly the same as before the reformat. Any suggestions???
