Apostrophes!

OK so I have a form where the user selects a company in a dropdown box and then the corresponding record is pulled up. (See the attached screen capture of the form detail.)

This was accomplished with the following in the After Update Event:
="[File As] = " & "'" & [Screen].[ActiveControl] & "'"

All works fine except when the company name has an apostrophe in it.

I'm at a loss as to where to start to fix this. Other than telling my guys not to use apostrophe's. LOL!

Any help appreciated.

Try replacing "'" by """"

You have shown the form design. Can you tell us more about your data and how the form is used?

When you have a quote within the data, you typically have to double the quotes to tell Access to use the quote as part of the data. The generic topic is escaping a quote.
