I put this out a few week ago but I probably didn't say it very well.
I have tables (pkey - fkey) using Referential Integrety and cascading options.
tbl_Project -> tbl_Drawing -> tbl_Assemblies -> tbl_Items
The tbl_Drawing has the follow pkeys:
Drawing_Number
Drawing_Revision
Drawing_Area
It also has a Drawing_ID which is 'Auto Number' and IS NOT a pkey but is used as the fkey to tbl_Assemblies.
So far no problems.
How can I duplicate a Drawing and all of it's associated information from tbl_Assemblies and tbl_Items. Of course I will need to change at least one of the pkeys. Most probably the 'Drawing_Area'.
Clearly this is not a simple copy and paste/append but I have absolutely no idea how to proceed.
Any ideas from anyone? Any help would be appreciated.
