Append results to pervasive client table

Hi

I want to run queries in MS Access, then append the results to a table in a data wharehouse, which i access through an ODBC link.

I can write the append query and have found the table name that I want the data to append to by browsing the network list, but when I try to run it, I get the following error:

"Unrecognised database format.....<table name>.mkd"

Is this because I've linked to a table rather than a database (.mkd file extension)? The data wharehouse is held in pervasive client and I use MS Access 2003.

Does anyone know how to get this to work, or should I just export a text doc and then get the datawharehouse to import it?
