Append then delete specific record from sunform1

Im trying to append then delete a record but stuck at the first hurdle.
Main Form: frm_tranch_holder
Sub Form: frm_tranche_single_form

The Unique ID is DD_TR_ID

My append query has the following criteria in the DD_TR_ID column:

[Forms]![frm_tranche_holder]![frm_tranche_single_form].[Form]![DD-TR-ID]

I've tried to use the wonderful Access web reference table but Im a little lost.

Im probably going to struggle to delete after appending but lets get this fixed first !!!

Your syntax looks correct - so what are your trying to achieve?
Creating then deleting a record seems like a cludge to get to some other result?

I simply want to move the record from the exisating table into another and delete it from the original table. Move it I guess.

Normally it is better to use one table and store an identifier if the two tables represent the same data. Quotes > Orders is a common one.

Simply add a Customer Order number field and you can easily identify quotes that have been "converted" to an order. Not sure if this is the a similar process you are looking at?

If the append isn't working can you post the SQL of it?
