appending query

I have a form that uses a query to pull data into separate fields for job titles and department. I have created an append query and when I run it it returns with zero records. This append is for those who have more than one job title. Should I create a new form and somehow attach this query to it to get it to run properly. I do not know why it is doing this.

Hopefully the query used for the form’s source is a select query only. Do not ever base a form on an append query.

An append query will append records based on your criteria selections. An append query can append all records, or if your criteria selects a subset of records, it will only append records based on the criteria (e.g. city=Chicago). If your append is appending zero records, it is because your criteria is selecting zero records (or you have an error such as a data mismatch.)

I was able to figure out what I was doing wrong. I had the query working properly but it wasn't reading the records because there were no records to update. Thanks for your help though.
