Hi,

What i need to achieve is the following:

In MS Access i want to be able log jobs and be able to assign my stock to the jobs i have logged is this possible ?

I know how to create a database to log jobs but how can i make it so when i add stock to the job it will remove it from my stock pool and assign it to the customer thus taking it out of stock...

Thanks very much

Allen Browne the Guru from Down Under has written a solution.

Have a look at the attached. The last Tab has a shortcut that may help.

This may not be too easy but give it a go. I don't know how good you are so I can only point you in a direction.

It is up to you to ask more. Please write back when you are ready.

Thank you Rain for your help, Would it be possible then, so if I have a table that contains multiple products I can create a option like a Combo box that it can be assigned to a customer and then if i go to the customer profile as such I can see what items are assigned to that rather than being assigned to the current customer, Sorry if that sounds like the same question as earlier, just bit hard to type out what i am trying to say, I am not very good at access just trying to learn it all at the moment,

Thank you

Access is far more capable than what most people think. It will do just about anything you need. The problem is knowing how to.

As you are still learning the basics you are going to have a few problems with this task.

Have a look at what you have first and decide if the information that I passed onto you is suitable.

Perhaps you could post a Pic of your relationships for comment by us.
