Hi all,

Hoping someone can give me an idea how best to do this.
Background: My DB is the administration of a day care centre. I have a list of clients, and the days they have chosen to attend. eg. Monday and Friday or Tuesday and Wednesday etc. ( as check box)

Now I need to print a monthly attendance register (blank) with the the clients on the left and accross the top the days of the month. This is no problem, and I have also managed to shade the weekends by putting textboxes in the columns. Now I would like to highlight the weekdays that the client has chosen to attend.
Hope this makes sense.

you need an attendance table, tAttend
[id], [Date], [Attended]

the query would pull the client name in joined to ID.
you could also filter 1 day, to enter all those attended that 1 day.

Then run a crosstab query to produce the report shown in your jpg.
Note: you do NOT store data shown in your jpg. Use the tAttend layout above.

Hi there, Thanks for the answer but I think I have not really explained well. I'll try again.
In the tbl_Klient I have 5 check boxes - Monday to Friday. If the Client chooses to come generally on a Monday and Friday then those boxes are ticked.

All I need now is a Report (not to store attendance) but just to check if the Client arrived. So the Person in Charge would see from the list to expect certain guests on a Monday.
As they arrive she ticks them off on the list. If for example the 1st of the Month is a Monday, then all klients who have their Monday box ticked would be highlighted. If the 2nd is then Tuesday, Clients who have only clicked Monday and Friday would not be highlighted. Thus when everyone has arrived the Person in Charge would see that Client 1 was expected on a Monday but did not arrive,...
